Course Objective
This intermediate-level course in Theatre Stage Makeup is designed for beauticians and makeup artists who already possess foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in salons, design studios, or stage performance settings. The program bridges the gap between everyday makeup application and the more sophisticated requirements of theatrical productions. Participants will deepen their understanding of facial anatomy, skin conditions, and artistic styles to create transformative looks that align with stage characters and lighting. They will also learn to guide junior artists, document makeup designs for continuity, and supervise makeup teams to ensure consistent execution that meets performance and production standards.
The course is highly relevant to the beauty, fashion, film, entertainment, and events industries, where professionals are expected to adapt their makeup skills to suit thematic concepts and theatrical demands. By equipping learners with the ability to research styles, plan and present makeup concepts, and manage execution workflows, this course opens pathways for job upgrading—from application specialists to team leads, designers, or artistic supervisors. Learners will become more competitive in freelance markets and full-time roles that require not just technical proficiency, but also creative direction and leadership.
